D.A.R.E. - (Drug Abuse Resistance Education). This highly acclaimed program gives children the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence. D.A.R.E. was founded in 1983 in Los Angeles and has proven so successful it is now implemented in over 75 percent of our nation's school districts and in 41 countries around the world. This year, millions of school children around the world will benefit from D.A.R.E.
730 W. Union St., Allentown, is accepting open enrollment for children ages 13 months to 10 years. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.
The Center provides a creative curriculum that evaluates and addresses each child's social, intellectual, emotional and cognitive development. The curriculum is based on literacy and language development, character building, computer skills and creative arts. Nutritious breakfasts, hot lunches and afternoon snacks are prepared daily in our on-site kitchen.
